NEXT MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT:
Tuesday, October 9th @ 9:30 am at the Keyboard Connection Program – Suzuki Piano Method presented by Annette Danielson ________________________________________________________________________ President’s Pen I was so thrilled to see so many members in attendance at our September meeting! Thank you all, and please continue to come to each and every meeting as you are able. We learn so much at these meetings. Not only about upcoming events, but about topics that can help us all be better teachers. In September, we got some good advice about how to prepare our high school students for auditioning into a music program for a college or university. Be sure to read your High Notes each month to see what great topics we have for our monthly programs! Also, several of us met for lunch following the meeting and program. It was so much fun! Check out the picture on Facebook. I plan to get together for lunch following each meeting this year. So come hungry; for knowledge, yummy food, and camaraderie with your fellow teachers. See you soon! ~Lorraine Eaton, JMTA President ________________________________________________________________________ JMTA General Minutes JMTA General Meeting – September 11, 2013 FSCJ South Campus Members Present: (21) Paulette Kilts, Mary Wingfield, Tara Mock, Martha McKie, Betty Atkinson, Denise Homsley, Sandra Stewart, Lydia Sanchez, one guest (Lydia Sanchez’s sister), Ileana Fernandez, Lorraine Eaton, Jo Plunkett, Lisa Smith, Michelle Huang, Lindsay Hardee, Mary Lou Krosnick, Lynn Freeman, Beth Martelli, Heather Schaeffer, Kamila Shahtahktinski, Michael Mastrinicola President Lorraine Eaton called the meeting to order at 9:40am.
