I am truly honored and appreciate your kind words of support and advice. I am sure each of us has ideas concerning various aspects of our organization. As president, I have many ideas I will work on bringing to fruition over the next two years. But, just because you are not President does not mean your voice or ideas do not matter! In fact, one of my main goals is to get more of the membership involved in our monthly and yearly activities. I have been in JMTA since 2001, and there are many names I see on the membership roster every year that I have never even met! I understand many of you have jobs and schedules that preclude you from attending our monthly meetings. Although these meetings are the best way to know what is going on, they are certainly not the only way to be involved! (Also, please note on the calendar this year we will have one meeting on a Tuesday, and one on a Friday.) There are many duties that work together to make this organization run smoothly and efficiently. Student Day, Student Recitals, Concerto Competition, etc.; these things don’t just run themselves! We need YOU! Only a little of your time is needed. You pay dues of $128 a year to be a part of this organization (including FSMTA and MTNA). Don’t just write a check and forget it. Make your hard-earned money work! Do you know who I am? I want to be able to put a face to all 60+ names in our directory! See you at the next meeting! -Lorraine Eaton, JMTA President ________________________________________________________________________ JMTA STUDENT RECITALS 2013-2014 Student recitals will be held at 3 p.m. on the following dates:
